I Would Rather Be Now – Written Saturday 4th August 2001 (Aged 26)

I Would Rather Be Now

the good old days
not so good at all
i had depression
and my hope was small
the good old days
no so good after all
we did have good times
we did have classic moments
some of which,
will always be the best
it’s that i miss,
but over all i was a mess
the old days
not so good at all
i was partially sighted
and the signposts were too tall
the good old days
not so good after all

James Garratt – Saturday 4th August 2001
