Clues
i wonder about it all
like everyone before me
a childhood bought from the reject bin
all those things
can you ever make it good
if you are always making it bad
can you ever be glad?
if you have only ever been sad
so you can take me as you want
say what you want to say
guess who i am trying to be
but i will judge me,
there is nothing i can do
so if it is going to be up to you
make sure you have got all the clues
we are all the same somewhere
perhaps as a seed,
but we grow, and on knowledge we feed
just to become something
maybe the product of inner greed
lusting after anything
a philosopher searching for meaning
a creative person, just day dreaming
maybe everything is true
maybe i am part of you
and you are a part of me
i hope you have got the clues
i hope you know it is meant to be
you know, this senseless calamity
the one they call reality
