The Choice You Make – Written Friday 19th October 2001 (Aged 26)

The Choice You Make

do you join the crowd
or do you dare to stand out
go it alone
is it the safe option
that prevents you from being on your own
did they teach you
that to stand on your own two feet
is a priceless thing
in a world where you are treated as nameless meat
where dreams
are only found in-between the sheets
do you join the crowds
it is the choice you make
its what all this is about
but do not think for one second
that being alone means you have a lonely shout
dare to take risks
because losing,
is only how the scared and the shallow
call their own insecurities
be proud to be yourself, do not be a life fatality
