About My Life
there is a place where she lives
a home that sighs and shifts
like the sands of time
and now i am looking at the mountain
it is the one called life,
and it looks so hard to climb
there is so much weirdness
it doesn’t seem like more than yesterday
that i was sat behind a school desk
i never expected those days to last
and i was glad to leave
and see them become my past
growing up does seem to have happened fast
i can hardly believe it
now i am making responsible decisions –
about my life
and it seems so hard, i need to get out
and know where i need to go
down to her house
that shifts and sighs and where the time is slow
things about my life, decisions to make
the pressure is always driving me hard
and i am always trying to look for the brake
