In My Teens – Wednesday 23rd October 1996

In My Teens

i was sugar in the way
i was super special day
got a feeling i have been deceiving
a detective on the trail
i will not sell out on you
i will not leave you by the roadside
my side, my way, till we fly
i was a boy alone
in my teens, in my dreams
i was aching like most do
i was sugar in a bitter situation
and trying to be something good
in my teens i was there
but not really part of it all
i fitted in but stuck out
i was a label that never was
but i thought i could work it out
i am not sure if i improve
i will always be here
part of you and part of everything
just as you are near
