Visions
in the night i hold tight
this roller coaster gives me the creeps
the ghost train rides on
as i cower then collapse in a heap
i believed it would all come true
but a fantasy fairground
was never something new
and in a book i read,
they said they knew
in the creepiest place i survive
with rats and dogs,
in darkened windows
throughout the city they peep
at the person held by a blanket
they wonder who haunts them
and how it is they can sleep
i would love to come out to play
if only it would stop raining today
i would hang about in the garden
never in the night,
never stop the fighting
