Coming Home to No One
coming home to no one
meals for one,
and nights alone
wishing for someone
coming home when it is dark
and to the dark
turning the lights on
to make rooms feel lived in
coming home to no one
it is a shame
wishing for someone
lost and lonely
need a special touch
to make the place feel homely
evenings go by,
mornings arrive with a sigh
coming home to no one
it is not much fun
personal space just becomes space
wishing for someone
coming home to no one
