Let Them Near
in my eyes i see them coming
something strange and real
in the movements i make
and the way we feel
never give up the chase
keep on hunting what you fear
draw those who care in
let them near
show them you can listen
lend them your ear
in the tides i see surprise
at mounting water
and sullen faces
that brought us here
to changing places
strange but real
we live on what we are
it is a wholesome meal
let them near
those who yearn to touch you
let them come through
let them near
whatever you do

You wrote this on the day I was born! Crazy to think about.

It’s a great poem! And good writing has no age (;

Thank you. Writing changes over the years. I cant write now as I did then. That’s the magic of writing – you capture yourself almost without realising 🙂
