Distant Does Not Matter

distant does not matter
just you
and that clatter
that you make
every time you make an entrance
every time you walk through a door
a whirlwind,
and that is why i like you more and more

just you
and when i hold you
you are there
and for a second
the stress runs from life’s canvas
and we paint a picture of our own
holding you
and not feeling alone
distance does not matter
