Safe In Your Arms

i fall asleep in your arms
and i feel safe once more
if only life –
could always be this sure
lying next to you –
knowing i am fortunate
if only life –
could always be this passionate

i hold you
and i feel safe once more
we do not use words
they are flawed
and too often –
come with false floors
if only life –
could be as beautiful
as the moments –
when i am holding you
