Entwined

just hold me –
that is all i ask
the request for my wife
my only specified task
just hold me
because we need it
tell me why,
with only you i seem to fit
here are the lanterns
make sure they are lit
just hold me
that is all i want
all i need
with you,
i do believe
just hold me –
it is all i ask
my husband duty
to hold you,
protect you from this farce
