I Don’t Want to Hear It – Written Monday 30th October 1995 (Aged 20)

I Don’t Want to Hear It

i do not want to hear it
i have been thinking alot about last night
you just go away
out of mind, out of sight
and now it is just another day
you seem to think i have been just going along
it hurts in the deepest pit of my soul
let it go you say
gradually i will ease the hold
but do not rub my nose into the dirt
you can smile all you like, i know what you do
i am sitting here and i hurt
and you have no respect, do you?
i do not want to hear it
it was always something i feared
this role reversal
that you were looking at the notches on your bedpost
not seeing many and then getting scared
you just leave me alone
i will see you when i see you
when you come home
