When You Let Go
when you let go
you sit there with your loneliness
you know you have done the right thing
but there is a loneliness in the atmosphere
it is in your vision, it is almost a hue
you wonder how you will survive
perhaps you want another another chew
another bite, but you have to let the cherry go
and time is faster than it is slow
she will be freezing with someone else
snatching a few seconds at midnight
to hold each other tight,
when you let go, you really are being brave
