Power

power is given
not owned exclusively
power is afforded
and power can be taken away
i elect,
not to give you power
i elect,
to over ride your expectation –
of me reacting to your situation
your power
is misplaced validation
you fire your rapid fire ammunition
that is when people confuse confidence with bullying
and over promote selfish ambition
you may never melt down but…
personality does experience heated liquidation
power is given
and often misused
and it is the foundation –
for discrimination and then abuse
but in this instance,
i choose,
and i take back the power
it is one way to make sure you lose
