The Tiny Boat
some people are a tiny boat
it is not weakness
just they struggle to stay afloat
they are perched
on constantly changing seas
they are battered by storms –
routinely
they have to hold up
in the face of adversity
the tiny boat
on an unforgiving sea
the boat is fine
but life tacks,
and chooses the lines
they seem clean and well poised
but the storms
are unrelenting with their noise
and what protection is there
when sensitivity,
opens you up to the elements
when every incident comes with a crash
when moments,
cause the boat to rock and thrash
some people are a tiny boat
