Time for Change
you are not going to last
if you do not follow the rules
it is time to shake off the past
it died, have a little time to grieve
then drop your old leaves
time to grow some new ones
shake off all that is dead upon you
time to grow into something new
every person can become a poor reflection –
of the childhood they had
be a friend, once a friend, always a friend
do not get too depressed
it is only briefly that your happiness –
is locked up and under arrest
you have always been here to listen
we could all have given up on each other –
years ago
you always kick the system
everyone is part of the show
do not get too down, drop the old leaves
winter does not have to follow autumn
you should know that the lights are still on
they welcome you as the candles burn
time to do the hardest thing of all
grow some new leaves, and then, grow tall
