A Mother’s Love
i reached out
to my natural source
as children do
a mother’s love
pulls me through
i needed her comfort
i needed to be told
that i was loved
the gloves of kindness
in my mittens of sadness
i reached out
she said bite the bullet
and walk away
and over time
you will be the better person
a mother’s love
pulls me through
