Trauma and Personality Disorders

mental illness has –
knocked upon your door
and they have let it in
they play crazy card games
and sip wild pink gin
no one is outside
and they do not believe –
in helping themselves
and making that chance
just a slave to illness
which acts like a calling voice

mental illness has –
seeped into their bones
they shiver and fail to deliver
a solution to being alone
as sickness cascades –
down every conversation
it is a faulty facade
with no obvious solution
they let it in –
and it is a terrible conclusion
mental illness has –
knocked upon your door
