Lifetime
someone who loves me
read what you had to say about me
and she sighs,
for your decay inside
people who care for me
read what you have to say about me
and they laugh
sadly you are chained to the past
someone who works with me
reads what you say about me
and she cries,
for your decay inside
my brother read all about me
from things you had written
his anger boiled inside
to spite, you find yourself tied
you have never talked to me
never travelled my roadmap
from laughter to tears
never found the rhythm of my mind
yet after only two years
you claim to know me better than those –
who have known me for a lifetime
