Your Ego Has Soared to New Heights

i read your latest piece about me
these i am prepared for the shock
but never quite the hurt
your ego has soared to new heights
and your arrogance has found new delights
there you were, yet again
the saviour and the all seeing
yet never having asked
it all feels like such a farce
i read your latest poem about me
i could not measure the unfairness
just as i could not measure the sadness
loneliness has been your latest dig
does this make you feel big?
you question my loneliness
yet it is you who is clawing at strangers
desperate to be ‘liked’
i read your latest poem about me
your ego had soared to new heights
and your arrogance had clearly found new delights
