They Said… (Originally Untitled) – Written Tuesday 8th December 2006 (Aged 31)

They Said

they said,
that this disorder,
that they had diagnosed me with
prevented us,
having a relationship
and that if we could take –
this disorder
and throw it in the bin
i would be a better human being
that i would be okay
ignorance is their tsunami
i did not know what to say
do you say,
to the person in the wheelchair
look we could work it out
if only,
you could walk about
they said…
something that left me shocked
it si a view,
that is so tragic it cannot be mocked
oh their intelligence…
how it is so lost
