alone is so reliable—
you are nobody’s fool.
you can do what you want:
act like a dancer,
act really cool.
cosmic universes
and strange-filled dreams—
all without a telephone.
when you are alone,
it is so masked.
it feels so reliable,
acting a part
with a broken-up heart.
