Umbrella Dreams
life moves on
at long last
we still feel
and days move so fast
umbrella dreams
for us lucky beings
drink is spilt
and laughter taken
no tears for the milk
or that which is broken
life moves on
so quickly
a force around me
a lamplight inside me
stepping away from the kerb
the pain like narrative
of their words
life moves on
celebrate each calendar day
each watchful month
each hand taken
each joke told
drift into a friendship sunset
enjoy growing old
