Comfort Inside
there is no fluid in my changes
no synchromesh in my gears
oil can not be substituted
by a well of tears
there is no power in my turns
and my personal highway code
i can never learn
speak truth to power
but beware,
if their ears are not covered
do not stand up
with genuine care
they will force you to sit back down
and of course, provide the chair
there are no discs in my brakes
my hill start,
struggles to lift off
my clutch plate is worn
and my gear change feels robbed
my clocks look faded
and my revs fail to rise
the outside may look worn and jaded
but there is still comfort inside
