Raindrops on Your Piano – Written June 2009 (Aged 34)

Raindrops on Your Piano

i see raindrops on your piano
i am sure
that is why it is out of tune
i watch humbugs
fall from your bag
and the photo album
was dripping with something so sad

i see raindrops on your piano
i see events on its keys
i am sure
this is what it means to be left –
waiting outside shops
waiting for someone to collect

i see raindrops on your piano
it was just a water wheel
that them away from me
it changed how i could feel
it stole my appetite
no more, a daily meal
i see raindrops on your piano
