She Seems Softer Around Me
she seems softer around me these days
sometimes it feels as if we are moving forwards
part of me wishes –
i could fall in love with her
of course, i never will
it is just, well, she can feel so right
but i know it is never enough
but her softness, which now approaches me
and encroaches upon me
is welcome in this light
as i pass through phases
in this part and at this stage of my life
she seems softer around me these days
