Cloud – Written Thursday 7th September 2000 (Aged 25)

Cloud

got to get through this cloud
got to understand what this is about
a message in a bottle is sent
but the bottle is drunk
and the message hardly well meant
got to get through this cloud
cannot really blame anyone
would like to feel like a someone
a new person on the stage
write me a brand new play
got to get through this cloud
give me strength today
take comfort from crumbs
take some intelligent advice
from something that seems dumb
feel less old…
because i am only young
got to get through this cloud
because clouds only surround you
and i need to find something new
