Maybe – Written Saturday 9th September 2000 (Aged 25)

Maybe

maybe i will shake it off
maybe in a few days
things will seem much better
maybe it will become much sweeter
emotions now seem to be a mess
could they ever be neater?
maybe i will do something new
maybe i will shake it off
a few days can promise everything
but right now it is all so strange
emotions now seem such a mess
day to day living reminds me of too much
just feel so upset
maybe i will shake it off
and turn around this insanity
maybe find some vanity
cannot explain the frustration the anger that i feel
maybe i will shake it off
maybe in a few days
this will pass and then go away
