Petrol
shake it up with the populous
people have to show that they care
because governments have gotten complacent
outside of election time
people have to queue
but does it matter if they do?
people are tired of being pushed around
tired of a poor wage
and a job so desperate –
it is not even one which they want to save
we have got to show what we mean
make a stand and make a statement
their fuel is the promise broken
and these queues just to get petrol
well this is the populous token
in the long term –
not much may be achieved
but right now we can shake it up
and those that can change things
they had better believe
