i crash from shop to shop
i do it till i drop

i do it for me, it is true
i do it in the nighttime
when insanity has knocked on the door
and asked me out to play
i do it in my sleep
when i tie my shoelaces
when i tie my brain in knots
let’s all change places
and look at what we have got

when hearty lovelorn dreams peep
i do it with style
with wheels polished silver
and with earrings of gold
i do it with a nervous shiver
i will do it when i am old
i will do it and i aim to deliver
