How Many Times

how many times
can you let someone down
how many times
can you turn someone away
no good feeling upset
what did you expect?
you should have shown more respect
you can hang someone out to dry
but your rain will fall
every time you cry
you are a victim of yourself
but you would have us believe
that it was somebody else
like a leopard
your spots never change
through the misery of the pain
the heartfelt desires
and all that is strange
how many times?
