Here is the Lullaby They Expect You to Sing
here is the lullaby –
they expect you sing
but by my age,
you have dipped your days
in something more realistic
you are psychosocial
with a touch of brass
you are the cold winds
in which regrets can easily bask
here is the lullaby
they expect you to sing
it drip dries in your eyes
as the freeze frames of your past v
fall to the conquerors
of your life long lost tasks
you are psychosocial
with a mint edge
you have a touch of abandonment
plastered onto your ledge
