I Want to Hold

i want to hold –
and to be held
i feel –
a kind of safety
and protection
within your arms
…with your hair
hanging down curly
the curls always ublock
like the new ship
waiting to the leave the dock
waiting –
to undertake journeys
near and afar
let me be the reason
that you reach out
to touch –
to feel –
to hold you is not too much
