The Settlement – Written Monday 17th February 2020 (Aged 45)

The Settlement

those people will never opt for change
they have their settlement,
and why would they,
opt for revolution
to them is no problem
and therefore no need for a solution
they know our society,
is bullet riddled with inequality
and vastly under prepared,
they know there is waste,
and too little compassion going spare
but they have their settlement
they are not bad people,
just people protecting their lot
they care but they are indifferent,
after all, they do have their settlement
