The Clock Inside
no one really knows
the clock inside
how it ticks by
and too many people
have passed –
through my poetry
like water through a sieve
and despite –
the battleground scars
i still offer my carriage
and a journey going far
so as you pass –
through this written piece
do you ever think
this is the underneath
this is the world –
of my deeper inside
the stones and the rivers
the books and the shivers
the thoughts
and all the clothes
the many tricky pony
no one really knows
about the clock inside
