Hope and Anger
there is anger
which does slowly fade
as the future i reach
it lies within a maze
there is wonder
but strangely, no surprise
it was always there
the stain of longing,
on darkened eyes
there is hope,
but a knowing feeling
that it will always be,
the hangman’s rope
that pulls the tightest
