What Became of Me
woolen jumper
hair a mess
glasses perched,
on the end of my nose
where they bare rest
a young heart
beating in a chest
blue sandals
trousers to match
setting out the future
lopsided models
beanbag toys
just like, many other boys
looking back
to far off days
six weeks of holiday,
lost in a summer haze
so much to gain
crawling on hands and knees
snowball playmate
always climbing trees
those times to lost to life
what became of me
