Let’s Share the Covers

like a door
like the clothes i adore
i am not always for chances
but i am so sure
like a weekend away
like the favourite day
we chase our tails
we drink too much –
when all else fails
and when eyes tell sorry tales
like the mind i lost –
to the ghost i found
like the hill i was born upon
the hill always going down
i am not always for others
but move me into your life
let’s share the covers
it is like a door
open it wide
let the light flood in
let it all inside
