What You Crave
you are a slave
to the love you crave
you are a slave
to the loneliness,
that sleeps in your head so unmade
and it is true,
that the love you crave
is something i could have given you
but it is also true,
that you did not want that love
no the kind a child offers its mother
the security that children offer
was security turned away
you are a slave
to the security you crave
and it is true,
it has been offered to you
but you have not got the self respect
to believe it could be true
you have turned away those,
who could have given what you crave
but to loneliness,
you are a slave
