Don’t Get Sad – Written Monday 1st January 2001 (Aged 25)

Don’t Get Sad

don’t get sad
let me hold you when you are sad
don’t feel bad
you know i am like you
we all get older
don’t get sad
you can cry on my shoulder
i will hold you when it is sad
when the light intrudes
and we need beautiful interludes
let us take the lead
and let’s dance across the floor
let’s quickstep the strain
and tango past the pain
don’t get sad
let me hold you when you are sad
let’s not solve problems
that cannot be solved
let’s find solace in each other
and let’s watch our hope evolve
