Future, Past

here we are,
looking across the planes of reality
into pain and misery
the want for peace and harmony –
could be wearing the disguise of tragedy
you look at me and i look at you
deep inside in my eyes,
lives an answer that is true
deep inside my soul,
the walls are painted a familiar blue
once i come across such a truth
and i placed it deep inside my head
and it did just what you said
we go on to live days of druids and strange suns
we go forward in hope of progress
but progression might be backward
and nothing less
