Never Never Girl

sometimes you feel –
you are on the edge of a situation
and you know
you are going to fall off
and you know –
there is not a thing –
that you can do about it
but you are static all over
and you feel so excited
you are on such a high
and the troubles of the world –
are much easier to bare
because you are on cloud nine –
and you’re walking on air
you cannot wait to see her there
you cannot wait to see her hair
and here i am on the cliffs of reality
a weak and hungry man
needing someone to shield me
from life’s tragedies
needing someone to please
