Coping Mechanism
it is just a coping mechanism
a way to control
no one will question it
after all, who would be so bold?
and,
where would you begin
no one rocks the boat
because no one can swim
when –
you have never understood the world
and,
when you have always felt the cold
you need something
to dilute the sting of realism
a way out of guilt and shame
it is just a coping mechanism
