You Do the Scores
i try not to share
‘memes’
or other peoples jokes
i try not to define myself
with certain posts
i share what i believe
and what i feel matters
my mental state has felt a gale
my mental health has been battered
and sometimes it has failed
i try not to share
left or right,
though it is true
i am prone towards
being the openingly annoying liberal –
with a progressive stance
you know the one,
that annoying, caring kind of dance
i try not to define myself
by disorder or disease
we have so many to choose after all
and none of them really please
speaking up and out if fine
it grows from belief and passion
and it should be mine
i realise now,
much less is actually much more
you find me now, in these particular rooms
why don’t you do the scores?
