An Open Mentalist

an open mentalist
i know it is true
ii have always held
my own point of view
an open mentalist
best describes me
and they said it
we could only laugh
i have never hid my problems
my screwball brain
the root of insanity
the flower of pain
take me as a basket case
an open mentalist
it sounds horrendous
but i was actually served
with a ladle of affection
the sort made between friends
when alcohol has dictated direction
an open mentalist
that much i know is true
