As You Lie in Bed
you are beautiful
and as you lie in bed
i think back –
to those teenage days
which seem one million –
miles away
and such love,
always seemed unsaid
sometimes –
i just watch and stare
trying to imagine –
the size of it all
and i try to measure –
all the care
you are beautiful
as i watch you lying there
