Space At The End of My Bed
shapes used to fill my bedroom
when i was five or six
here was a space at the end of my bed
where my imagination would perfectly fit
people like shapes used to dance in my bedroom
when i was asleep
there was a space at the end of my bed
a world lay just beyond my feet
dreams had no seams in my bedroom
when i was five or six
there was a space at the end my bed
and i made sure my imagination would perfectly fit
nightmares used to fill my dreams
when i was five or six
i saw shapes upon my walls
never forget the wonderment of a child’s imagination
when their dreams worlds are so big and yet they are so small
