We Can Always Paint Seaside Towns – Written Saturday 11th July 2020 (Aged 45)

We Can ALways Paint Seaside Towns

fell apart back then
– and i was in many pieces
got up
and dusted down
let me go out, i asked
we can always paint seaside towns
– had a dream back then
but it was one hill far too steep
got up
just to cure my sleep
i was up even when i was down
and i was down just to be up
i had all my furniture
– but it all went bust
fell apart back then
when dreams and nightmares
lived cheek by jowl
and all my running
almost fell foul on the prowl
– i was in pieces
got up and tried to move forward
every creature like me
makes sure they have a creative horde
