Creative Diet – Written Between February and June 1995 (Aged 20)

Creative Diet

everyone has got something to do
in a world that they created
from their own paper and glue
it must be nice on a sunday evening
to sit around talking about god
really believing,
some people would rather be at home
really conceiving,
i would rather it was just you and me

everyone has got something to do
even if they are out of their tree
in a back street,
where it never stops raining
you get a treat,
if you have been patiently waiting
with a pound or two
it does not change your head
it just spoils your perfect view

everyone has got something to do
even the dead,
it is just different rules
in six feet foot holes
no one is here tonight
but it is alright, we will be good
we will be quiet
i did not think much of your imagination
it seems you are on a creative diet
not such a clever soul
walking the tightrope wire
time to get off your creative diet
