Keep My Head Down – Written Between February and June 1995 (Aged 20)

Keep My Head Down

i tried to keep on track
it felt under fire
got on the ground
and become much quicker
i cannot see very clearly
almost going to make it
very nearly believed in this
i tried not to leave the path
i tried to pretend
as i walked past
at the end of all this
we to have to change
if we’re going to have hope again
my security blanket
she will say, do not fret
but she is not around
and i have got to keep on track
keep my head down
